The 8 year old daughter to Pop/Hip-Hop titans – Beyonce and Jay Z has won her first major award in the world of music.
Blue Ivy, who’s only 7 years old at the time of writing this (YES!! SEVEN..!!) has won an award for songwriting at the 2019 Soul Train Music Awards.
Blue Ivy had apparently contributed in some way to her mother’s recently released inspirational track – ‘Brown Skin Girl’, among a number of other writers. Acknowledging the song for what it is, Blue Ivy took home the Ashford & Simpson Songwriter’s Award, given to the track by Soul Train voters.
Now that’s an impressive resume at barely 8.
