Celine Dion Has Broken This Whitney Houston Record With Her New Album…

Celine Dion has made a triumphant return to music with her brand new studio album, ‘Courage.’

Marking a ‘comeback’ for the powerhouse vocalist, particularly since she faced a number of up’s and down’s in her personal life, the album debuted at #1 on the Billboard Top 200 albums charts earlier this month.

This marked the diva’s first #1 on the charts since her 2002 released LP, ‘A New Day Has Come’ – and with that she has registered herself in history books.

The gap of 17 years between the two #1’s has given her the record of – ‘the longest gap between chart-toppers on the Billboard 200 among women’ – reports Forbes.

The record was previously held by the late Whitney Houston, whose last studio album ‘I Look To You’, peaked the Billboard charts after a gap of 16 years from her last #1 album – which was the 1992-released The Bodyguard OST.

To reiterate – the record is among female artists, the overall record is held by Paul McCartney who scored a #1 album after a gap 36 years.

All we can say is – Welcome back Celine Dion. What a grand diva return.
