Diane Warren: “Whitney Houston Would Be Alive Today If She Stayed With Robyn Crawford”

Reactions from all quarters are pouring in, ever since Robyn Crawford announced and publicly declared the details of her bond with the late Whitney Houston.

An old-confidante and former persona assistant to the legendary songstress, Robyn is gearing for the release of her first-ever memoir, ‘A Song For You’ – which re-affirms, years-old speculations about Houston’s romantic relationship with Crawford.

One of those who have spoken on the subject since Robyn’s public statements, is Houston’s former songwriter and collaborator – Diane Warren.

Speaking to an ET correspondent at the SAG-AFTRA Foundation’s Patron of the Artists Awards in Beverly Hills, California, on Thursday, the award-winning songwriter was quoted as saying the following:

“I just heard about [it]. Robyn loved Whitney and from what I knew of the two of them, it’s sad that Whitney could not live her truth. It’s heartbreaking.”

Warren further stated that she believes if Whitney would have stayed with Robyn, she may still have been alive.

“I think personally, I mean, not that I know anything, but I think if Robyn would have been there, I think Whitney would still be around. She really cared about her.”

Diana had penned songs like ‘I Learned From The Best’ and ‘I Didn’t Know My Own Strength’ for Whitney.

It would be interesting to see what the estate and the family of the late icon have to say about the release of this new memoir.
