Beyonce Wins at National Film & TV Awards For Her ‘Performance’ in The Lion King as Nala!

Beyonce was recognized for her voice-over in the role of Nala, for Disney’s recently released live-action remake of The Lion King.

The singer and actress received ‘Best Performance In An Animated Movie’ award at the recently held annual National Film and TV Awards ceremony.

Queen Bey had also supported the project with a special soundtrack album named ‘The Gift’ – which received international critical acclaim, particularly for the song ‘Brown Skin Girl.’ Her song ‘Spirit’ was also featured during the climax of the Jon Favreau directed box-office juggernaut.

If not for her voice-over, it would be interesting to see if she gets recognized by the biggest award show of the year – the Academy Awards, for her musical contribution to the film.

Will you be counting on it?
