The rapper has managed to make a significant mark in music with her debut solo release, amassing several million in sales and producing a number of Top 10 hits. Cardi has set new benchmarks in music – when it comes to being a female in the rap game.
The femcee took the opportunity to reflect back on the past couple of years, as she gears for the second phase of her career with the release of her highly anticipated sophomore albums.
Sharing an image featuring a list of the top selling hip-hop artists of the decade, here’s was the ‘I Like It’ hitmaker wrote:
“Almost 3 years in the game ! Sooo proud of myself .Im anxious and excited for 2020.Thank you everyone who supports my music .Momma Bardi loves you ….now back to bed I go.”
With a handful of hit singles and her groundbreaking debut along alone – the rapper has earned several multi-platinum certifications, with sales exceeding 60 million – and counting.
The next decade certainly looking promising for the New York born lass.
