Ed Sheeran Named UK’s ‘Artist Of The Decade’

While Taylor Swift may have taken the crown for American Music Awards’ ‘Artist Of The Decade’, that not necessarily mean that everyone co-signs with the notion.

Case in point, UK’s Official Charts Company – which has named, Ed Sheeran – as their Artist Of The Decade.

Sheeran’s feat, however was accumulated by his overall performance on the UK charts – over the course of the past 10 years.

The ‘Perfect’ hitmaker has had 12 #1 singles and albums during this period, which is more than any other artist of the ‘present era.’

His song ‘Shape Of You’ is deemed one of the biggest hits of the decade, having sold over 4 million copies.

Acknowledging the feat and thanking his fans for the same, here’s what Sheeran was quoted as saying on his new title:

“Thank you to everyone who’s supported me over the past 10 yeas, especially my amazing fans. Here’s to the next 10!”

Well, congratulations to Ed Sheeran!
