Chaka Khan’s trademark, phunk-style of singing was not taken that well when it came to her recent performance of the American National Anthem at NBA all-star-game.
The singing legend took the NBA stage to sing the Francis Scott Key-penned utterly difficult anthem and modulated it through and through.
The improvisations and adlibs didn’t quite go down well with those watching from home, as the iconic performer was later trolled for her vocal showcase on social media, with many comparing it with the Fergie’s viral performance from a few years ago – which has often been cited as ‘one of the worst’ ever.
