Katy Perry Talks About Dealing With ‘Depression’ After Last Album Failure!

Katy Perry is gearing to kickstart a new chapter in her personal and professional life, as she not only readies her brand new studio album but also looks forward to welcoming her first child, with beau Orlando Bloom.

The singer, presently busy performing her new and old hits at several TV spots in the UK, was recently spotted dishing on the lukewarm reception of her last studio release – ‘Witness.’

Here’s what the singer spoke on her experience during the release of the project:

“I definitely went through some intense stuff with ‘Witness’ – and that was pretty evident. I had, like, you know, some real challenges and at one point became clinically depressed, and you know, had to figure some things out and go through a journey. But I think that what’s coming musically from me songs about that journey and getting to that ‘okay’ place.”

Perry also stated how she’s now taking things more casually than she did before, and is seemingly in a better place.

Witness was released back in 2017, amidst the drama involving her rekindled cold-war with fellow-popstar Taylor Swift. The album received mostly mixed reviews from critics and hasn’t been able to touch the ‘million’ mark in worldwide sales until now.

Will this new era give her the career-revival she needs?
