Whitney Houston’s Cousin Dionne Warwick Criticises ‘Hologram Tour’, “Her Legacy Speaks For Itself”

While Whitney Houston’s ongoing Hologram tour may have been put to a halt due to the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, the late legend’s cousin and a musical icon in her own right, Dionne Warwick, has yet again expressed her disapproval of the same.

The ‘Say A Little Prayer For You’ hitmaker recently appeared on a Q&A session for ‘The Guardian’ and dished on a number of topics, one of which was Houston’s holographic image, which was last seen ‘touring’ in the UK.

Spearheaded by the late singer’s estate president and sister-in-law, Pat Houston, the digitally created image and the whole show surrounding it, aims to be a celebration of her music and legacy.

But Dionne believes the star’s legacy speaks for itself.

“I have no opinion of it,” she promptly said, when asked about the show. “I think it’s a waste of time. And Whitney’s legacy, her music, speaks for itself.”

On the other hand, Houston’s hologram shows were mostly positively received by both fans and critics, who, despite the morbid nature of the event, enjoyed it in the form of a vivid musical and visual extravaganza, celebrating the icon’s many classics.

The estate plans to resume the shows once the world has recovered from the present medical crisis.
