After her Oscar nominated role in A Star is Born, Lady Gaga has only bigger and greater things ahead of her in Hollywood. And so is proven by her next undertaking in the world of movies.
The ‘Born This Way’ Pop powerhouse has nabbed her next major role in a motion picture, set to be directed by Ridley Scott.
The MGM-headed project will be based on the life of fashion tycoon Maurizio Gucci and his extranged wife – Patrizia Reggiani – who will be played by Gaga in the movie, and will be based on Sara Gay Forden‘s book ‘The House of Gucci: A Sensational Story of Murder, Madness, Glamour, & Greed.’
Ridley Scott’s wife – Giannina Scott, who’s also co-producing the project, said the following on the promising new venture:
“This project has long been a labor of love for both Ridley and me. The story is so epic, the stakes so high and the characters so richly drawn that we were determined to get it to the big screen. To say we are thrilled to be teaming with Mike De Luca and his brilliant film group at MGM is an understatement. We can’t wait to see this come to life next year.”
