After halting the ‘An Evening With Whitney’ tour in the UK, the estate of the late Whitney Houston has also decided to halt her proposed Las Vegas residency, in view of the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.
After critical and commercial success in the UK, the makers had previously announced their plan to move the holgram concert of the icon to Flamingo Las Vegas – much like a number of other fellow divas, who’re doing pretty well in Vegas residencies (a la Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Britney Spears and Mariah Carey).
Scheduled to go on from April 14, the show has now been halted as the Flamingo Showroom remains closed to stay in line with health and safety concerns of its employees as well as attendees.
The show is likely to get a new date in late 2020.
