Music Legend Little Richard Has Died at Age 87

Little Richard has passed away.

The Rock n Roll and Soul star, who’s considered one of the most iconic figures in Pop culture and whose songs helped shape-up and define the genre back in the 50’s, has died at the age of 87.

The cause of death hasn’t been revealed yet, but the news of his demise was confirmed by his son, Danny Penniman.

Richard has lately been dealing with poor health, after suffering from a stroke and a heart attack.



Taking to his Instagram handle, Richard’s former band member, Kelvin Holly, also said his final goodbye’s to an old time friend – “Rest in peace, Richard. This one really stings. My thoughts and prayers go out to all my bandmates and fans all over the world. Richard truly was the king!”

Considered the pioneer of his genre, Little Richard churned out several hits and classics during his illustrious career, inspiring some of the biggest musicians that followed after him.

Some of his most notable songs include – Good Golly Miss Molly, Tutti Frutty, Rip It Up, Ready Teddy and many others.
