Nicki Minaj Scores Career’s First #1 With ‘Say So’ – Also a Career-First Chart Topper For Doja Cat

Nicki Minaj fans are going to have a week-long celebration with this one.

The Barbz (as her fans are called) have given the rap-queen her first-ever Billboard Hot 100 #1 – thanks to her unmissable feature on Doja Cat’s ‘So So’.

This is also the first ever #1 of Doja’s career, who’s been making the most of this breakthrough hit, with multiple remixes and live performances.

The song had already charted pretty well on the Hot 100, holding up the #6 spot on the previous week’s tally, but the ‘surprise remix’ featuring Minaj certainly helped it secure the top spot.

The battle for #1 was quite a tough one this week, as Megan Thee Stallion’s ‘Savage’ remix featuring Beyonce was also eyeing the spot, with fans of both artists rigorously streaming it to gain the position.

Savage now sits pretty at the #2 spot.

The feat is history in many ways, as it marks the first time a collaboration between two female rappers has managed to top the Billboard Hot 100 charts. The achievement is further decorated by ‘Savage’ (another rap collaboration between females) in the runner-up position.

Minaj – who already has several feathers to her hat – which includes being the most watched female artist on YouTube and also the best selling female rapper of all time, can now add a Billboard #1 hit song to that tally.

Congrats to all four of the Rap/RnB queens!
