Watch: Kelly Rowland SILENCES Crowd Booing Chris Brown After His AMA Win: ‘Excuse Me…Chill Out’

Kelly Rowland was not willing to take any booing for Chris Brown, as she came to present an award to him during the recently held American Music Awards.

The talented vocalist came to present the award for Favorite Male R&B Artist, and just as she opened the envelope to announce Brown’s name, a section of the crowd could be heard hurling boos.

Silencing them at once with a firm response, the singer asked the audience to ‘chill out’, as she continued to accept the award on behalf of the singer, who wasn’t there to accept it himself.

“Chris Brown is not here tonight. So I’m accepting the award on his behalf… excuse me, chill out” – she pointed at the audience.

“But I wanna tell Chris ‘thank you so much for making great R&B music’, and I wanna tell him, ‘thank you for being an incredible performer’.

The whole thing happened in the wake of – Chris Brown’s scheduled performance at the award show getting cancelled – just 48 hours before the ceremony. The performance was supposed to be a tribute to Michael Jackson.
