Watch: Previously Unreleased Whitney Houston Performance Showcases The Diva At The Peak Of Her Stardom
30 years since her iconic HBO concert, that celebrated Nelson Mandela's freedom, Whitney Houston's monumental musical milestone is being celebrated again.
The diva's historic visit to South Africa, which was spread across three cities, and was televised under the name 'Concert For a New South Africa' will be getting a theatrical release for limited dates on October 23rd and 27th.
Although the previously televised concert was from Johannesburg, Houston's estate is now releasing the never before seen leg from Durban, which was her first stop in South Africa as part of her record-breaking The Bodyguard world tour.
Ahead of the theatrical celebration of the concert, which would be followed by an Audio CD and Vinyl release of the same, the late singer's estate has given a peak of one her performances from the show - which had not been seen until now.
This is right after the success of The Bodyguard film and OST, which made her one of the biggest female stars in the world around that time. So naturally, this is witnessing the diva at the absolute peak of her stardom, belting out one of her most well known songs - I Have Nothing.
