Watch Jennifer Hudson's Stunning Tribute To Whitney Houston At The 2024 American Music Awards
The 2024 American Music Awards celebrated 50 glorious years of the awards ceremony, and reflected upon some of the most iconic moments in music that took place on the AMA stage over the years.
From Mariah Carey to Michael Jackson, several musical stars were celebrated at the AMA stage this year, so it was only inevitable that ceremony was also going to look back at one of the most iconic performances that took place on that stage back in the day.
It was in 1994, when the late Whitney Houston - fresh-off the success of her The Bodyguard soundtrack and film, delivered a 10-minute medley of 3 difficult vocal ballads, and sailed right through them like a piece of cake.
The moment was also cemented as an undeniable part of her legacy in her recently released biopic and ranks as one of the most memorable performances from the AMA stage.
So naturally, they had to pay tribute to something so unforgettable.
To do so, the AMA's roped in Jennifer Hudson, who delivered a fantastic vocally powerful performance of 'I Loves You Porgy' and 'I Will Always Love You', bringing the crowd to tears.
