New Song: Ariana Grande Name-Drops Her Ex’s, Including Pete Davidson, in ‘Thank You, Next’

After Pete Davidson took a few jibes at her now ex, Ariana Grande, during his SNL skit, it is her turn to throw some speak her mind about the relationship.

Her latest offering ‘Thank You, Next’ – is as personal as it can get, and comes as an imminent response to the aftermath of her broken engagement with Davidson.

But he’s not the only, the singer name-drops in the spontaneous new track. Grande also takes the opportunity to look back at almost all of her past relationships, including the one with late rapper, Mac Miller. And she simply tells it, like it is.

Read some of the lyrics below:

Thought I’d end up with Sean
But he wasn’t a match
Wrote some songs about Ricky
Now I listen and laugh
Even almost got married
And for Pete, I’m so thankful
Wish I could say, “Thank you” to Malcolm
‘Cause he was an angel

But Grande isn’t really being shady, as she insisted before unveiling the track, “no drags…. no shade….. jus love, gratitude, acceptance, honesty, forgiveness … and growth”.

She does highlight the positives of all of her experiences as she thanks all her former partners for contributing to the various aspects of her own personality.

“One taught me love
One taught me patience
And one taught me pain
Now, I’m so amazing
I’ve loved and I’ve lost
But that’s not what I see
So, look what I got
Look what you taught me”
