Set in the early 80’s, the movie will go in-detail to portray the time Madonna moved from Michigan to New York and began work in her debut album as she struggled to put things together around it, in a male-dominated industry.

The success of Madonna’s self-titled debut released in 1983, later layed the ground for her iconic Like a Virgin album. She achieved massive popularity for her controversial image and the lyrical content of her songs, with a music style, which has been responsible for influencing and shaping up a generation of pop artists.

Madonna produced a vast number of hits in her illustrious career, like ‘Papa Don’t Preach’, ‘Frozen’, ‘Like A Virgin’, ‘Vogue’, ‘Like A Prayer’ and ‘Music’ – most of which were written by the singer herself. With sales of over 300 million records worldwide, Madonna is the top selling female artist of all time as recognized by the Guinness Book Of World Records.

Apart from her unprecedented success in music, Madonna also ventured in movies as a motion picture actress starring in films like ‘Dick Tracy’ and ‘Desperately Seeking Susan’ and also winning a ‘Best Actress’ Golden Globe award for her performance in the musical, ‘Evita.’

She was ranked #1 by VH1 in it’s list of 100 Greatest Women In Music.

It would be interesting to see if ‘Blond Ambition’ focuses on all of these aspects, or is based on a certain phase of her life and career only.
