WATCH: New DOPE Video featuring Classic Animated characters singing Zedd’s ‘Stay’

Released more than two months ago, Zedd and Alessia Cara’s collab ‘Stay’ has been given a new twist by the Grammy winning producer.

Posted on his alternate official Youtube channel, the video has been put together using multiple shots from various classic cartoons uttering the lyrics which are synced and mashed in melody of the song. Featuring appearances from Homer Simpson, Bugs Bunny, Sponge Bob, Donald Duck, Snowwhite, The Powerpuff Girls and many more, the video was released on Youtube on Thursday, 27th April.

It’s adorable, it’s fun and it’s clever as it could most likely give further boost to the single that is already a Top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 charts with a peak position of #7.

The video most likely draws it’s inspiration from a string of viral videos featuring former US President Barack obama’s speeches cut and mixed together to reproduce famous songs.

‘Stay’ was released on 23rd February, 2017 as a collaboration with Canadian singer Alessia Cara, entering the Top 10 in over 12 countries including US, UK and Australia, become the third Top 10 hit for Cara.

With this animated version of the song they’ve cooked the perfect recipe for a chart-topper.

Zedd’s biggest single till date remains ‘Breakfree’ where he featured alongside Pop sensation Ariana Grande. ‘Breakfree’ had peaked at #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts and Zedd is yet to surpass that peak.
