Country legend Loretta Lynn hospitalized after a stroke

Country music pioneer Loretta Lynn was taken to a hospital on Thursday, after suffering from a stroke at her home. The ‘Coal Miner’s Daughter’ singerwas takent to a hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.

The 85 year old songstress is said to be doing better under medical care and is expected to make a full recovery, as per a statement made on her website.

The four-time Grammy winner was currently on tour and it appears some of her show might be post-poned and rescheduled.

According to a post on her official Facebook page, “Loretta, who just celebrated her 85th birthday, has been advised by her doctors to stay off the road while she is recuperating. Regrettably, upcoming scheduled shows will be postponed.”

Only a month ago, Loretta’s label announced the release of her brand new studio album, ‘Wouldn’t It Be Great’ – which is slated for a release on August 18th and is available for pre-order.
