Almost a month ago David Guetta unveiled his new collab with Nicki Minaj and Lil Wayne, entitled ‘Light My Body Up’. The single was officially released on 23th March and topped the US ‘Bubbling Under RnB/Hip Hop Singles’ chart.
Guetta has now released a sizzling visual featuring featuring Minaj setting the screen on fire with Lil Wayne. The video is directed by Benny Boom, who has previously directed music videos for Ciara, 50 Cent, Fantasia, Kelly Rowland among several others.This is the fourth collaboration between David Guetta and Nicki Minaj, after the two previously worked on songs like, ‘Where Them Girls At’, ‘Turn Me On’ and ‘Hey Mama’
Initially Nicki Minaj was not supposed to rap on the song, but Guetta later on added her rap after his daughter complained, “Why isn’t Nicki rapping on it too?” after hearing the demo. Lil Wayne’s part was added as a surprise to Guetta by Minaj.
After Nicki’s last two releases with Lil Wayne and Drake in ‘No Frauds’ and later ‘Changed It’ featuring Wayne, failed to ring a bell with her fans, will this song give her the hit she needs?
