In one of saddest Hollywood deaths last year, Carrie Fisher passed away of a heart attack at the age 60 while traveling on a plane. The news came merely two days after Fisher’s mother and Lourd’s grandmother, Debbie Reynolds had passed away due to intracerebral hemorrhage at age 84. It was a big tragedy for Lourd to deal with; seeing her mother and grandmother pass away in such a short span.

Fisher was most famous for her role in the ‘Star Wars’ series as Princess Leia, a role she reprises on a number of sequences of the iconic series. Lourd herself has an association with ‘Star Wars’ as she appeared alongside her mother in the 2015, installment of the movie, ‘The Force Awakens’ playing the role of Connix. The film grossed over $2 Billion dollars at the worldwide Box-office.

Lourd who was invited last month at the 40 year anniversary of the iconic series, addressed fans by saying, “She loved you because you embraced all of her. The strong soldier she was and the vulnerable side, who fought her own dark side.”

Both mother and daughter will now be seen in the upcoming Star Wars saga: The Last Jedi, scheduled for a release later in 2017. Fisher, reportedly finished her part in the movie before her sudden death last year. This will be her last film.

It would a great chance for fans to bid their final goodbye to the icon.
