The back pain that initially caused her to postpone the first half of her tour, has turned out to be breast cancer that has metastasized to the sacrum (lower back).
The statement further added that Newton-John will now be going through natural wellness therapies, in addition to a short course of photon radiation therapy. The singer is positive about recovering back from the disease by the end of the year.
“I decided on my direction of therapies after consultation with my doctors and natural therapists and the medical team at my Olivia Newton-John Cancer Wellness and Research Centre in Melbourne, Australia,” Olivia said in a statement on her Facebook post.

This is a recurrence of the disease for Olivia as the singer was previously diagnosed and treated for breast cancer back in 1992. The ‘Grease’ actress has been involved with several charities and fundraisers related to health awareness and environmental causes.
Although, the singer and actress hasn’t cancelled her ongoing tour, but only delayed it until further confirmation while she concentrates on her health and treatment. The rescheduled dates of her tour will be posted on her official website in the coming weeks, as announced on her statement.
