Teen celebrating graduation shot and killed while defending his female friend from eve-teasers

LeDarjrick Cox, an 18 year old from Dallas was shot dead while defending his female friend who was being harassed by a group of three men.

The shocking incident took place on Sunday while Cox was celebrating his high school graduation with friends.

According to Fox 4, the 18 year old was out with three guys and one girl during the early hours of this past when at around 1:45 his friends pulled into the parking lot of a 7-Eleven in Irving. It was then they were confronted by the three accused men who started to cat-call their female friend.

As Cox came in defense of the girl, the two groups got into a heated argument after which Cox and his friends decided to leave from the spot with their friend and got inside their car. It was then the suspects fired shots at their vehicle from behind hitting Cox in the head. He was immediately rushed to the Parkland Hospital where he succumbed to the injuries and died.

The other two of his male friends were also shot in the incident, but survived their injuries

Cox’s father Henry Reginald told Fox, “He just wanted to do the right thing, wanted to achieve, just tried so hard. You know, he was my only son. That was it. … It’s just over. It feels like a part of me is just hurt.”

LeDajrick, was set to start college and play for his college football team.

Police are yet to get a hold of the three accused men and are on a look out.
