A short run of 13 episodes has been finalized by ABC which struck a deal to bring back the FBI thriller on the network for its third season. Although, the second season of the Priyanka Chopra starrer did not perform well as far as the ratings are concerned, the show has made up for it due to its international reception. Season two started airing on January 23th and concluded with its season finale on Monday, 15 May.
ABC has been in quite a flurry with several new announcements on a number the network’s shows ranging from the renewal of shows like ‘Once Upon A Time’, ‘S.H.I.E.L.D.’, ‘American Housewife’ and canceling shows like ‘Dr. Ken’, ‘American Crime’ and ‘Imaginary Mary.’
Interestingly, Quantico has only been renewed for a short run of 13 episodes, that’s quite a drop from season 2 which ran for a total of 22 episodes.
Entertainment Weekly reported that one of the show’s lead writers Joshua Safran has stepped down from his role, however it hasn’t been confirmed who would be fillin-in his shoes as yet.
