The tragic incident claimed the lives of 22 individuals while injuring 59.
Few days after the bombings, a Muslim man took to the streets of Manchester in an attempt to reestablish harmony in his own little way. Baktash Noori, stood with a blindfold at the corner of a busy street in the city, with a placard placed next to him, saying “I”m Muslim and I trust you. Do you trust me enough for a hug?”

Few minutes into the video and several people start joining in to give Baktash a hug as others gather around to take a look. Posted under the channel, ‘Life of Bako’, the video has been viewed over 730,000 times on Youtube
“The first 30 seconds were nerve racking, but once I got that first hug with a lovely comment from that gentleman in my video, it made me feel a whole lot better,” Noori told Manchester Evening News.

Meanwhile, Ariana Grande is scheduled to take the stage again, following the attack in her concert last month. Entitled, ‘One Love Manchester’ the concert will be a tribute to the victims of the bombing tragedy and feature artists like The Black Eyed Peas, Coldplay, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry and more. To be held on Emirates Old Trafford cricket ground on the 4th of June, the proceeds of the concert will go the victims and their families.
“We will continue in honor of the ones we lost, their loved ones, my fans and all affected by this tragedy. They will be on my mind and in my heart every day and I will think of them with everything I do for the rest of my life,” the 23 year old singer wrote on Twitter.
