Johnny Cash’s anthology album will feature unreleased track by Chris Cornell

Johnny Cash’s son John Carter Cash published a book consisting of his father’s poems last year. Soon after the release of the book entitled, ‘Forever Words: The Unknown Poems’, Carter embarked upon a project to put the poems to music with some of the current singers and songwriters.Although, country artist Brad Paisley did record one of the poems ‘Gold All Over The Ground’ which was featured on his recently released album ‘Love and War’, there is also work underway for a full-fledged album featuring Cash’s words, which will also included a previously recorded track by late Rock legend, Chris Cornell.

Country music artist, Jamey Johnson revealed the collab on the album, “He’s working on an album where’s he’s pairing up these songs with songwriters from our day to finish up these Johnny Cash songs.  One of them that I know he’s most proud of and you can’t get it anymore – he’s got Chris Cornell having finished one of these songs and then recorded it,” Johnson further added.  “I’m excited for it to come out. I got to do a couple of them.”

The album does not have a release date yet, but we can already tell it would be EPIC..!!
