“Nobody gives me credit for singing Live”: Britney Spears speaks on ‘lip-syncing’ criticism

Britney Spears has consistently been criticized for heavy lip-syncing on her shows throughout her two decade long career.

The Pop superstar, who’s delivered some of the biggest hits from the turn of the century, often finds herself amidst backlash surrounding her pre-recorded live performances, some of which, just play out her old records in the background while she concentrates more on the dancing, as her concert-goers claim.
Taking time from her ongoing Asian tour, Britney, once again sat down to address the criticism and claims, and disregarded them stating that although she does use pre-recorded vocals for some part of her performances, she should be given credit for, ‘busting her ass’ out on stage and singing most part of it Live.
In a recent interview for a television show in Tel Aviv, Spears spoke on the controversy stating, “…a lot of people think that I don’t sing live… Because I’m dancing so much I do have a little bit of playback, but there’s a mixture of my voice and the playback. It really pisses me off because I am busting my ass out there and singing at the same time and nobody ever really gives me credit for it.”
So is singing part of the performance Live fair if you’re ‘dance’ routine is exhausting?
