“I have lost my vocal chords”: Adele cancels her ongoing Tour following vocal damage

A few days ago, rumors circulated stating Adele may retire from touring following the completion of her ongoing world tour.It now turns out, the singer-songwriter will be canceling the rest of the days of her ‘Adele Live’ World Tour, due to damage done to her vocals, which are making it hard for her to keep up with her set.

Adele made the announcement on Twitter in a post expressing her disappointment at the situation, arising due to vocal injuries, following which her doctors advised her to take rest and not perform for a while.

“I’m already maxed out on steroids and aids for my voice,” she said. “I’ve considered doing Saturday night’s show but it’s highly unlikely I’d even make it though the set and I simply can’t crumble in front of you all and walk out on you in that way.

The ‘Rolling In The Deep’ songstress mentioned that she struggled through her set in the previous two out of the four total shows at the Wembley Arena, and her voice wouldn’t come out of her mouth the morning after that. She eventually had to cancel the remaining two shows, sending her sincere apology to her fans.

Her last two gigs from London’s iconic stadium, drew an audience of over 100,000 on each of the shows. The singer stated that if reschedule does not take place, a refund will be issued to the ticket-holders.

“It’s something I’m really struggling to come to terms with. It’s as if my whole career has been building up to these four shows.”

“I’m sorry. I love you. I’m so sorry. Please forgive me x,’ the Grammy award winner signed off.
