Madonna dissed Whitney Houston as ‘mediocre’ in never before seen letter

Anyone who lived through the 80’s and 90’s era, would know how the heat went over roof at times, when some of the biggest diva’s in history competed against each other on the charts and on the radios.

While some were gracious about the success of their “supposed rivals”, others clearly showed their frustrations with their stingy remarks every now and then. If a recent letter, allegedly written by Madonna, is anything to go by – the Pop Queen apparently falls in the second category.
Addressed to a person with the initial ‘J’ (thought to be Madonna’s former lover John Enos), the letter which has been “unearthed” for an auction, sees the ‘Like a Virgin’ singer expressing how she wasn’t happy with Whitney Houston’s enormous success eclipsing her own career.
Madonna also threw shade at Sharon Stone, whom she apparently envied for her success in movies.
The ‘re-surfaced’ letter is out for auction later this week, and is already grabbing a lot of eyeballs
Read out some of the excerpts from the letter below:

I have made so many people angry that I’m being punished and basically made to be quiet and sit in a corner, whole other less interesting and exciting people are reaping the benefits of the roads I’ve paved.

It’s so unequivocally frustrating to read that Whitney Houston has the music career I wish I had and Sharon Stone has the film career I’ll never have. Not because I want to be these women because I’d rather die, but they’re so horribly mediocre and they’re always being held up as paragons of virtue and some sort of measuring stick to humiliate me.

I don’t think I can play the game to be accepted. I’m too intelligent, I have too much pride.

Was Madonna being way too envious of Houston’s success or is it acceptable among divas?
