Actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus has been diagnosed with breast cancer

Multiple Emmy winning actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus recently revealed she has been diagnosed with breast cancer.

The 56 year old ‘Veep’ star, shared a letter on Twitter revealing her ailment and also promoting universal healthcare in the process.

“1 in 8 women get breast cancer. Today, I’m the one,” she wrote.

“The good news is that I have the most glorious group of supportive and caring family and friends, and fantastic insurance through my union. The bad news,” she said, “is that not all women are so lucky, so let’s fight all cancers and make universal health care a reality.”

Julia did not reveal what stage of cancer she has been diagnosed with and how early the doctors were able to detect it.

Soon, after sharing the news, the actress received widespread love and support from her fans and industry colleagues and co-actors.
