Bobby Brown is moving to court in order to stop the release of the upcoming unauthorized biopic on his late daughter with Whitney Houston, Bobbi Kristina Brown.

The RnB singer is apparently concerned about his own portrayal in the movie as he has been allegedly shown in a negative way. The singer’s lawsuit against the TV One biopic states that the film depicts him as a physically abusive husband to Whitney Houston and an unloving father to their late daughter.

Brown not only wants an injunction to stop the airing of the unofficial biopic, but is also claiming a sum of $1 million in damages on grounds of libel and slander.

The upcoming TV movie will feature Bobby’s role being portrayed by actor Hassam Johnson, while Joy Rovaris has taken on the role of Bobbi Kristina, and actress and singer Demetria McKinney is portraying Houston.

In a recently released, intense and emotionally-charged trailer, a dramatic showcase of Bobbi’s relationship with Nick Gordan and her various clashes with her late mother, Pop icon, Whitney Houston took the center stage. “Everything is always about Whitney. I can never sing as well as you. I can never be the superstar that you are.” Rovaris, portraying the aspiring actor and singer, confronts McKinney, who plays Houston.

Although there wasn’t much shown on Bobby in the first trailer of the flick, the lawsuit makes you wonder if he’s pushing for a hold on the biopic because of the exploitation of her late daughter or the fear of being portrayed in the bad light himself?

Bobbi Kristina is slated to premiere on October 8 on TV One.
