Mariah Carey is being sued by some choir singers for non-payments of a Christmas gig from 2016.

According to TMZ, the ‘We Belong Together’ superstar failed to pay a sum nearing $70K to a Christmas choir group, entitled Broadway Inspirational Voices after pulling out of their agreement for the gig only a week before the schedule.

This, according to the choir’s lawsuit, resulted into the choir delaying another gig at an elementary school which was supposed to be funded by the payment to be received from Carey.

According the documents filed with the Manhattan Supreme Court, Mimi’s rep told only a week prior to their scheduled gig that, Carey had ‘decided to go in a different direction with the choir.’

BIV has previously worked with the singer back in 2014 – in an event that came out with any qualms, but things couldn’t turn out that well for their recent collaboration.

BIV, which worked for financially disadvantaged children in New York, are now claiming  $67,500, plus damages.
