Speaking to the outlet, O’ Donnel said, “I am saddened to hear about this terrible tragedy. Mental illness is a very serious issue affecting many families. My thoughts and prayers go out to Michelle’s family, her wife and their child.”
Rosie and Michelle were married back in 2012 in a private ceremony, after dating for a year. However, their marriage couldn’t last longer as the two parted ways in 2014, following which Rosie filed for a divorce a year later citing a ‘broken relationship’ as the cause.
The two have a 4 year old adopted daughter named, Dakota.
O’ Donnell’s mother-in-law also posted a statement expressing her grief over the loss of her daughter, and insisting people to spread awareness on the subject of suicidal tendencies.
“… If anyone would like to give to the National Suicide Prevention it would also be greatly appreciated. There are so many out there in this world that have demons that they think suicide is the only way out,” she said.
Michelle was only 46.
