Christina Aguilera was brought under public scrutiny for her tribute performance to the late and great Whitney Houston at the 2017 AMAs.
Although the Grammy award winner received a massive round of applause and a standing ovation from the audience, people on internet were simply not having it.
After Pink came out to send some words of appreciation towards her fellow diva, praising her performance and vocals – RnB star, Ciara too has attempted to brush aside everyone trash-talking Xtina’s vocals.
“Sadly, people relish in negativity,” the ‘I Bet’ singer wrote on Twitter. “She’s one of the best singers of our time. #SpreadLove”
Ciara spoke in response to her facial expression during Xtina’s performance being seen as a shady look of disapproval.
Shots of a teary-eyed Pink were also mistaken (or rather misused) to depict her being shady to Xtina’s passionate performance to honor one of her idols.
The ‘Candyman’ songstress performed a four-song medley from Houston’s 1992 released Bodyguard soundtrack album – to mark 25 years of its release.
