Jennifer Hudson and David Otunga have parted ways. After nearly 10 years of being in a relationship, the two seem to have called it quits on quite a bitter note – going by the statements of their respective attorneys.
Hudson has reportedly won a restraining order, which Otunga’s lawyer has brushed aside as an attempt to secure the guardianship of their kid.
Speaking to TMZ, David’s attorney, Tracy Rizzo, called out Jennifer’s restraining order a mere gimmick to get an edge over her estranged fiance in the courtroom.
“David Otunga has been trying to negotiate the terms of an amicable parenting agreement with Ms. Hudson for several weeks now,” Rizzo told TMZ. “However, when it became apparent to Ms. Hudson that Mr. Otunga would be the parent granted residential care of the child, as a result of Mr. Otunga being the child’s primary caregiver while Ms. Hudson pursues her career all over the world, Ms. Hudson decided to file a meritless Petition for Order of Protection in an effort to gain an unfair advantage in the custody dispute.”
Rizzo further alleges that JHud is plotting to deliver “an award winning performance in court” to portray herself as a victim of harassment. He further insists that David was never physically abusive with the singer or their child.
Jennifer and David got engaged back in 2008, but never tied the knot. They have an eight year old son together.
