It was almost 9 years ago when Beyoncé was seen atop the Billboard Hot 100 charts with ‘Single Ladies’. Though the singer came pretty close to delivering another #1 a couple of times – with songs likes ‘Drunk In Love’ (which peaked at #2) and Mi Gente (which peaked at #3), she couldn’t notch another #1 entry in the singles chart post 2008.
The Grammy winning songstress has finally scored the title after nearly a decade, courtesy of her duet with Ed Sheeran, ‘Perfect.’
The original solo version of the song was already quite a success in the UK (peaking into the Top 10 and playing across radios).
But the collaborative forces of the two chart-smashers, gave it a stronger push on the charts – which, as it turns out, didn’t take too long to climb atop (the duet version was released on December 1).

Between ‘Single Ladies’ and ‘Perfect’, the Pop icon has delivered several critically acclaimed multi-platinum selling LP’s and singles – that rank her among the best selling artists of the era.
Combining her solo work with the tracks released through ‘Destiny’s Child’, Yonce now boasts of 10 #1 hits on the pop charts.
Congratulations to Queen Bey and Sheeran.
