Report: Mariah Carey's 2nd ‘New Year’s Rockin Eve' attempt pull-in mixed reviews

Dick Clark's annual New Year eve celebration was a quite a 'Deja Vu' moment for many viewers - as they witnessed Mariah Carey take the stage for the second consecutive year on the ABC special, hosted by Ryan Seacrest.

The glamorous diva, who had a tough start to 2017, starting from her disastrous melt-down on that very stage, attempted to redeem herself with what sounded like a 100% (almost) Live take of two of her major past hits.

Although it was pretty evident through Carey's body-language that she felt the on-stage pressure of having all eyes fixated on her performance - but she somehow managed to flow through it.
Carey's two-song medley included her tackling two of her biggest ballads - 'Vision Of Love' and 'Hero', out in the cold weather of New York City.

So, did she deliver?

Watch the highly-anticipated performance below:

While many of her fans have called the performance a perfect "comeback" from her last appearance on the same stage, others couldn't help but point out the vocal fluffs here and there.

While LA TIMES called the performance a 'letdown', NY TIMES pointed out Carey's considerable 'improvement' as a redemption from last year.

Putting aside all the nit-picking - one has to admire Carey's courage to face the same damn stage that witnessed the most ruthlessly criticized performance of her career.

Praise where its due - she nailed that iconic climax to 'Hero'!

And can we also take a moment to acknowledge how gorgeous the glamorous diva looked in that outfit?
