The Bodyguard OST completed its 25th anniversary back in November 2017. The iconic best-selling soundtrack which boasted of some of the most memorable tunes from the late and great Whitney Houston, featured her biggest career-hit – ‘I Will Always Love You.’
The David Foster produced Grammy winning track, which to this day ranks as the all-time best selling single by a female artist, will now have another feather added to its list.
The sweeping love-ballad has been chosen by the recording academy as one of the 25 albums and singles to be inducted into the Grammy Hall Of Fame in the batch of 2018.
The 1992-released lead single from Houston’s motion picture debut as a lead actress, shattered sales-record upon its release back in the day – eventually winning the ‘Record of the Year’ and ‘Best Female Pop Vocal Performance’ Grammys in the year 1994.
In recognition of its cultural and historical significance, the track has been chosen among 25 other honorees as hand-picked by the recording academy’s national board of trustees.
