Lauryn Hill Calls Off Concert While Fans Wait Outside the Venue in Queues

Lauryn Hill – made an abrupt cancellation of her show in Nashville’s Municipal center, as fans stood outside the venue with tickets in their hands.

Thousands from her dedicated fan-base were waited outside the venue for The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill 20th Anniversary Tour, as Lauryn took to Twitter to announce that the show was being cancelled – two hours after it was actually supposed to start.

The Grammy winning Femcee cited Hurricane Michael as the reason for the cancellation – which led to the cancellation of her flight to the venue. The rapper issued an apology to her fans, stating that the show would now be rescheduled to a different date.

Here is Hill’s statement on the same:

“Nashville, I am very sorry about the circumstances surrounding tonight’s scheduled performance. Flights for our entire band and most of our crew were grounded due to Hurricane Michael. Flights keep getting delayed, our band now doesn’t arrive until after midnight. We tried to find local musicians that could fill in, but there wasn’t enough time to get it all together. We apologize for the late cancellation, we have been trying all day to figure out a way to make to make this work, but it just wasn’t possible. We will be rescheduling a new show in Nashville, and will figure out something special for the community who came out tonight to support. Apologies again, we appreciate your patience and understanding.”
