Missy Elliott and Justin Timberlake Are Now ‘Doctors’ Courtesy Honorary Degrees From Berklee College Of Music

Missy Eilliot and Justin Timberlake are the latest to get honorary degrees for their musical contribution, allowing them to place a ‘Dr.’ before their names.

The two were felicitated by Berklee College Of Music on Friday, receiving an honorary doctorate degree from the musical institution.

The duo, along with composer Alex Lacamoire, were honoured for their “influence in music and for their enduring global impact.”

Soon after the commemoration, Elliot took to her Instagram handle to announce her new title. ‘CREATE YOUR OWN LANE,’ she wrote. “Sincerely Dr. Missy Elliot.”
