Cynthia Erivo may have just landed herself the big-screen breakthrough that would put her on world map.
The talented vocalist, will soon be seen on the big theaters portraying the story of Harriet Tubman, the legendary abolitionist who relentlessly fought against slavery, more than 100 years ago.
The trailer for the hard-hitting, Harriet directed by Kasi Lemmons, was unveiled earlier this week and it follows the political activist’s journey as she escapes slavery and leads hundreds of others to freedom.
Apart from Erivo playing the titular character, the movie also stars, Leslie Odom Jr., Jennifer Nettles, Joe Alwyn and Janelle Monáe.
