A super-freaky video of a giant Komodo dragon swallowing a very much alive monkey, from head to toe, has been going viral on social media.
The footage shows an approximately 10 feet Indonesian lizard swallowing down a full-sized adult monkey so easily, that it is almost frightening to imagine what else it could gallop with that giant mouth of his.
The clipping actually starts when the monkey is already half down the dragon’s mouth, visibly motion-less – likely due to the release of the lizard’s poisonous bite. With barely 5-6 mild shaking of his head, the giant animal gulps down the whole thing.
We don’t know how far back this video is dated and why it is going viral now, all of a sudden, but it’s certainly a spine-tingling look at the wild.

But with a size that can go up to nearly a 100 KG and the capacity to swallow-eat a prey, 80% their own size, it is always better to maintain your distance from it, if you ever encounter one in the wild.
