Shawn Mendes recently gave a piano treatment to Whitney Houston’s eternal dance classic, I Wanna Dance With Somebody, during his concert at Staples Center in LA.
The Canadian singer and songwriter who’s presently busy with Shawn Mendes: The Tour, in support of his third self-titled studio album, stopped by at Los Angeles earlier in July for two back to back shows.
Singing an intro to the 80’s dance bop in a slowed-down manner, much like Sam Smith’s famous cover of Houston’s How Will I Know, Mendes ventured into singing his own hit, Because I Had You.
While he didn’t sing the whole thing, it clearly got the crowd going as they sang along and screamed all the way.
