Again? Lauryn Hill Issues Apology After Arriving Late For Her Show…

Lauryn Hill has been marred by criticism revolving around her absenteeism from her own live shows and scheduled performances from her ongoing tour.

Fans have been complaining about waiting for hours, with Hill often showing up late or canceling some of the shows at the last moment.

While this has been going for a while, a recent display of disappointment and rage by fans, led the Grammy winner to publicly apologize for showing up late at her show and thus giving a shorter performance.

Hill was scheduled to perform at Glasgow on August 3 and arrived 30 minutes late to the venue, while it was already packed with irate fans. Her stint then only lasted for a mere half an hour as she pulled through some 6 songs, with all her energy.

With apparent sighs and boos coming from the crowd, Lauren later took to her social media handle to issue an apology, stating that her coming late was due to the celebration of her son’s birthday.

Here’s what she said:

My sincere apologies Glasgow for the late show and shorter set. I appreciate the energy and support I did receive from the great crowd, and the patience of the promoters. I hope to come back and make it up to the Glasgow audience. It is only with great respect and Love for my art and the audience that I take the stage every performance. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time in Europe, the crowds have been great and incredibly receptive. I look forward to my upcoming shows in Poland, Italy, Denmark, and the UK. Again, thank you, and my sincerest apologies for that shorter set.

Respectfully, ♥️
MLH
