Listen To This Resurfaced, Rare Live Performance Of ‘Run To You’ By Whitney Houston

For the ardent followers of the late and great Whitney Houston, a live performance of her 1992-released hit song, Run To You, was a rarity that nobody had really heard or seen before – except those who saw her perform it in person some 25 years ago.

A never-heard-before, resurfaced, live performance of the Oscar-nominated track has finally been made available on the singer’s official YouTube handle, and it sees her go into such emotional depth of the song – that we did not even get to hear in the official studio recording.

Her rich and exuberant tone, her haunting low register and the emotional display of her soul, as if she really does take every word home – is a stunning showcase of why she was a standout performer.

The upload may have been made available for everyone on YouTube just now, but it was actually released two years ago when the singer’s estate decided to blow the dust off their vaults for the 25th anniversary of her record-breaking motion picture soundtrack for The Bodyguard.

The track was featured on Houston’s posthumous release, ‘I Wish You Love: More From The Bodyguard’, and apparently missed the attention of the majority.

Nevertheless, better letter to the party than never.

This live performance is going to stay on repeat now!
