Mariah Carey Has Recorded Special Theme-Song For ‘Mixed-ish’

After the astounding critical reception received by Beyonce for her Lion King soundtrack album, Mariah Carey too is headed to create a special soundtrack of her own.

But in Carey’s case, it is for television.

The ‘Vision Of Love’ singer has teamed with ABC to record a theme song for their upcoming show, ‘Mixed-ish’ – a spin-off for their original popular series – ‘Black-ish.’

It is note-worthy that Mariah herself has previously cited the influence her racially-mixed upbringing and background had on her, so the show’s theme dealing with growing up as a mixed-race person back in the 80’s is going to strike a resounding chord with the singer.

Speaking on her participation in the project, here’s what the songstress said:

“As a biracial woman in the entertainment industry, there was no way I did not want to be a part of mixed-ish, especially after seeing the pilot, which I loved. I could not be more honored and proud to be writing and performing ‘In the Mix’ for Kenya and the show.”

We’re excited to see what MC brings to the table with this one!
