Taylor Swift has just become the most awarded artist at the American Music Awards.
The ‘Love Story’ singer has surpassed a record previously held by King of Pop – Michael Jackson, winning the most number of trophies from the AMA’s.
Just last year, the singer had surpassed Whitney Houston, to break the same record among females.
Swift’s total tally of wins from AMA’s now stands at – 26, including three wins she has earned during tonight’s ceremony. Michael Jackson had long held the top spot with 24, while Whitney Houston – who was bested by Swift last year, had it down since 1994, with 22 wins to her name in total.
One of the biggest wins for Swift this year was in the Favorite Album Pop/Rock category – in which she beat the likes of other popular favorite – Billie Eilish and Ariana Grande. Swift – who boasts of a humongous, devoted fan-following – continues to win in everything that’s based on popularity.
