Carole King Presents ‘Artist Of The Decade’ Award To Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift was coveted with a title, most artists can only dream of, at the AMA’s.

The ‘Lover’ hitmaker was crowned as the ‘Artist Of The Decade’ at tonight’s ceremony and to make it even more special, it was given to her by none other than the legendary, Carole King.

Praising Swift as an ‘all in one’ performer, who excels in singing, dancing, but most of all – her songwriting, King was gracious as she acknowledged the 29 year old’s efforts and impact in the past ten years.

As Swift came to the stage to collect her trophy, wearing a shimmery golden dress with a long trail attached to it, she gave extended props back to King, before reflecting back on her decade-long ride.

Taylor’s mother could be seen wiping her tears from the audience.

Watch the whole speech below:

No doubt, Taylor is one of the few artists in this decade – who has tasted only success in everything, no what what she’s done till yet.

As King pointed out her biggest USP’s – she is one of the few artists who is credited as the ‘sole songwriter’ of her songs.

What a moment. Congratulations to Taylor!
