The incredibly catchy bop, which has been a part of our holiday playlists, for around 2 decades was recently voted as the ‘most annoying Christmas song of all time’ in a poll conducted in the UK.
While the song has been a long-term hit and a classic in Mimi’s career, people who voted in the poll were apparently sick of it being ‘pushed’ every Christmas, by the “machinery” behind the superstar – with a ‘new’ version or collaboration released every now and then.
The poll conducted by Huawei also saw popular tunes like ‘Last Christmas’ from Wham! and ‘Do They Know It’s Christmas?’ by Band Aid fair on the top among the most ‘annoying ones.’
But Mimi took the top spot here.
